Welcome to the CREST Blog!

What is CREST, you ask? CREST stands for Capital Region Etsy Street Team and is comprised of the most talented artisans in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.

What is ETSY, you ask? Well, Etsy.com can only be described an amazing online community and marketplace for buying and selling all things handmade. Etsy is what brought this talented group of artists together in one place.

Every week, we will feature a specific craft so you can get to know each and every one of the local Etsian members of CREST. As you've already noticed, this week we are featuring KNITTERS. 'Tis the season to stay warm and snugglie in a cozy knitted sweater, scarf, gloves...you name it, we make it!

Stay tuned all week to learn more about our Knitters; including Tips & Tricks, a highlight of all the Knitters, and to close the week we'll send you off with an inspirational piece by one of our members.

Each week will showcase a different craft, but each week day will have the same theme. Below is the weekly schedule:
MONDAYS: "Featured CRESTer Interview" highlighting one of our members
TUESDAYS: "What's new with CREST?" will update you on what's happening with our Team.
WEDNESDAYS: "Tutorials, Tips & Tricks" so you can test out your skills at home.
THURSDAYS: "Sales, Giveaways & Features" of the week's specific craft.
FRIDAYS: "What inspires you?" to sign off the week with a little inspiration.

Welcome to the Capital Region Etsy Street Team (CREST) blog. We are a group of Etsy sellers passionate about handmade crafts and living in the Washington, DC Metro area. We have formed many friendships and a network of support through this group.

We share tips and ideas on selling our products, running a successful business and identifying local venues to promote and sell handmade crafts. Our contact is not limited to the internet--we do local craft shows together and meet to discuss growing our businesses.
